The Carpet and Handicraft Fair of Mogoro is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2006. Born in 1961, thanks to the initiative of a few villagers - a group of women and wood artisans, led by the municipal Authority of that time - it had the purpose of teaching the traditional art of weaving and, most of all, of educating the public to the taste of authentic Sardinian tradition in its purest form.
